Fenland Aquapark

FAQ’s and Safety Guidelines

We are thankful that Covid restrictions are no longer mandatory, but we will continue to take a common-sense approach to operations at our aquapark.

If you are a new participant at Fenland Aquapark during Covid
you must first review the Top 9 Tips & Guidelines below which includes:-
Arranging a wetsuit & lifejacket at Tip #2,
Watching the aquapark video briefing at Tip #5.

  1. AQUAPARK SESSIONS. Fenland Aquapark Ltd is open for 1 hour sessions, and numbers are limited in regard to both the actual in-water sessions, as well as numbers of people at the changeover times. To ensure we stay within the reasonable numbers within the fenced Aquapark area, please respect the arrival and departure times, and give plenty of space to any participants arriving as you are leaving.
  2.  RENTAL ARRANGEMENTS. Wetsuits and buoyancy aids are provided as part of the entrance fee. Buoyancy aids are compulsory; wetsuits are compulsory for under 15’s and advisable for all participants.  You are strongly recommended to wear a full wetsuit until the water temperature rises to 22 degrees. You may bring your own wetsuit if you have one. All of the Aquapark personal protective equipment is washed and disinfected after each use. Please provide your meaurement details in the booking form below as required, referencing the following diagram when taking the chest size measurement.
  3. STAY UPDATED. Check this website’s home page at http://fenlandaquapark.com/, and the Aquapark Bookings page before every visit to stay updated with current fast-changing conditions, special arrangements, and last-minute availability.
  4. COVID SYMPTOMS. Stay at home if you, or someone you live with, have any of the recognsed symptoms, especially a high temperature, a new, continuous cough,  or loss or change to your sense of smell.
  5. SAFETY BRIEFING. Click this link Watch The Fenland Aquapark Covid and General Safety Video Briefing
to watch our Covid and General Aquapark Safety Video Briefing, before you arrive. It saves you valuable time by not having to attend an on-site briefing which we are phasing out.
  6. BEST SATNAV POSTCODE is PE7 2AR, Gildenburgh Water, Eastrea Road, Whittlesey, PE72AR
  7. CHANGING. Our changing rooms are open, but we still recommend that you come “beach ready” and get into your wetsuit in the open air. Wetsuits and buoyancy aids will be issued in an open air environment, and you can put the wetsuit on in our designated outdoor area. Bring a towel robe or dressing gown with you to ensure your personal privacy while changing back afterwards!
  8. SOCIAL DISTANCING. The areas from the car park to the Aquapark gate, and the area around the entry point must be kept clear at all times. We recommend maintaining a physical distance of 2 metres or more between yourself, our staff & other non-household aquapark participants, at the surface, as well as on land. Adopt the rule of the road and pass others on the left while onsite.
  9. COOPERATION. Implement all guidelines of these 9 Tips during kitting up, aquapark activity, de-kitting and while out of the water.

Weather – Do you close the Aquapark if it raining?

Activity on the aquapark is weather dependent. Weather can be unpredictable and events do have to be cancelled occasionally. High winds, lightning and thunderstorms are our main concerns.

Cancelling an event can be a huge inconvenience for both participants and ourselves, However your safety is paramount and we would appreciate your understanding. If bad weather affects a booking it will be rescheduled by Fenland Aquapark Ltd at no extra charge to you for a later date. We will make every effort to reschedule it as soon as possible. No refunds will be given.

There can be no guarantee that a particular date will not be withdrawn due to adverse weather conditions.

If high winds, lightning and thunderstorms are predicted, we recommend that you contact us before you depart for your activity. Please be aware weather conditions can change quickly and Activities can still be cancelled on the day or after the event has started, should the activity be deemed unsafe. Non attendance on a day will see you lose your Activity.

In the event of cancellation, Fenland Aquapark Ltd will not be held liable for any costs of lost insurance premiums, travel expenses, pre-booked accommodation costs or any other costs incurred.

Please ensure you have provided us with all your contact details and include the mobile phone number you will have with you on the day.
If you have any questions, please speak to a member of staff prior to your activity or give us a call beforehand.

However, this is the UK, so we can expect rain at any time, and the activity will not be cancelled just because it is raining! No refunds or rescheduling will be made in the event of participants wishing to change or cancel their booking due to rain.

Availability – when are you open?

Fenland Aquapark is open subject to the availability of dates, facilities and staff. Bookings should be made as far in advance as possible especially during peak times (weekends and school holidays). Please note that if the minimum threshold for participants has not been met in a session, we may contact you to see if you would be able to come at a session with more participants. We suggest if you plan to book a session or purchase a voucher for a date at short notice, you should call us to ensure there is still availability before completing the transaction. If this is not possible, we reserve the right to cancel the session at short notice.

Duration and Time of Activity – How long are the sessions?

Each Aquapark session is 60 minutes on the water. We aim to start sessions promptly at the agreed time and we try to stick to these times as closely as possible. However, there is no guarantee that you will complete your Activity at the exact time given on your booking confirmation. Please allow plenty of time on site and we recommend that you arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before your chosen start time, and you will need a minimum of 30 minutes afterwards, to allow time for changing etc, Where the duration of an activity is mentioned on our website and marketing material or by a member of our team this is an approximate guide to the length of time you should expect to be at the venue. The duration may vary slightly from time to time and is always number dependent. When you are taking part in the Activity as part of a group there may be some extra waiting time involved.
